Laura Wang is the Program Director responsible for planning, managing and overseeing all Gridworks’ Initiatives. Laura most recently was a U.S. Department of State Fulbright-Clinton Fellow in Samoa, where she advised senior officials on renewable energy projects, adaptation, and international climate negotiations, while also researching the integration of small-scale distributed generation resources. Prior to MTS, Laura also worked with developing countries through on-the-ground engagement and policy analysis on energy issues at the Center for Clean Air Policy, served as an Executive Fellow with Governor Jerry Brown’s office, supporting the Governor’s senior advisors on a wide range of renewable energy and climate policies, and worked on NEPA oversight at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Laura received both her M.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Southern California, where she was a Trustee Scholar, and is a Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) Fellow.
